She is the daughter of David Pickens Detty and Isabella Crago Detty, but her married name (if any), her death date, and her place of burial are unknown. With "Melton Dixon" (probably William Elton Dixon 1859-1941) she had a son named Stinson Detty on 2 Nov 1879. I do not think that they were married. Stinson was living with his mother and grandparents in 1880, and with his grandmother Isabelle Detty in 1900.

Family Trees say she died 27 Feb 1889 in Harrison Township, Vinton, Ohio, which was two weeks after her last child, Frances L Saltz, was born.

Samuel remarried to Lettie Downard (1869-1942) on 23 Oct 1897 in Vinton County, Ohiio. They had a daughter, Elizabeth (30 Oct 1897-23 Oct 1990), who married Scott Williamson Seymour.

Lettie Downard and her brother, Elsworth Downward were the STEP-children of Abraham Harshbarger. Their mother was Rosanna (on her marriage record and many other records) Boots, who married Stephen Downard on 11 Oct 1857 in Jackson County, Ohio.
