Arthur Lee Griffith, 68, of the 3000 block of Beaver Drive died Dec. 20, 1990. Mr. Griffith, a native of South Hill had retired from the Navy after 20 years and had served in World War II and the Korean War. He had also retired from civil service. He was a member of Fleet Reserve at Large and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Arleen C. Griffith; two daughters, Jan G. DiGiovanni and Linda G. Shelton, both of Virginia Beach; six sisters, Lucille Berman of Arlington, Mavis Corder and Francis Zancan of Davidsonville, Md., Dorothy Thomas, Beatrice Powell, and Joyce Griffith, all of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, James Griffith of West Virginia, William Griffith of Florida and Howard Griffith of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Melvin J. Hughes. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
