Paul Carter Wiseman, 53, Licking View, Route 3, (Zanesville, Ohio) father of Donald D. Wiseman, radio editor of "The News", died suddenly at 7:20 p.m. Monday (July 1, 1940) at his home following a heart attack.Mr. Wiseman was a well-known resident of this vicinity and was a World war veteran. He was a painter and paper hanger by trade and was a member of the Painters and Paper Hangers Union.He had been at work Monday as usual and had appeared to be in excellent health. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio June 13, 1887, and spent the greater part of his life here.His first wife Nora Dover Wiseman, mother of his sons died Nov. 10, 1918.Surviving are his widow, Margaret Terry Wiseman; two sons, Osborne B. Wiseman of the United States Navy, stationed on theU. S. S. Roe at Charleston S. C., and a sister, Mrs. Audrey Rittenhouse, 941 Market street.The body was taken to the Hearing funeral home and prepared for burial and today was removed to the Market street residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Hearing funeral home and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Rev H. D. Borley of the Central Presbyterian church will officiate.Word was received today from Ensign Wiseman that he was returning home for the services.--------------------
