Donald Dover Wiseman, 47, of Urbana, Illinois, a native of Zanesville, Ohio and former reporter for The Zanesville Signal, died at 8: 15 p.m. Wednesday (25 Jan. 1961) in the Veterans Hospital at Dwight, Illinois, after an illness of one year. He had been hospitalized since last November.
He was born here June 13, 1913, a son of Paul and Nora Dover Wiseman. He was a graduate of Zanesville High School and Ohio State University and was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church when residing here.
During World War II, he served at several air bases in Indiana and Illinois. Six years ago he was made editor of The Waterwell Journal and traveled extensively in his work.
He was widely known here as an entertainer before going to Urbana.
Surviving is his stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Wiseman of 407-E Indiana street. His only brother, Lieut. Osborne Wiseman, a Navy fighter pilot, was killed in action in the early days of the war and a U.S. destroyer was named in his honor.
The body will be brought to the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home here.

Services for Donald Wiseman,47, of Urbana, Illinois, a former Zanesville resident will be held at 1 p.m. Monday from the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. James Hill, pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Wiseman, a former reporter for the Zanesville Signal, died Wednesday in a veterans hospital at Dwight, Ill., after a years illness.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
