Violet Irene Coughenour, 71, of Fairhope, died Nov. 24, 2002 at, Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 7, 1931 in Cumberland Md., she is the daughter of John E. and Velma (Madden) Bingman. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Floyd "Tom" Coughenour; son, Gregory and fiancee Theresa Miller, Fairhope; daughter Vernice, married to Donald Castro, Berlin; grandchildren: Gregory Jr. married to the former Dina Brick, Hyndman; Valerie married to Aaron Phillips, Erie; Victoria Castro, Berlin; great-grandchildren Courtney and Alexandria Coughenour, and a brother Robert Bingman, Mt. Savage, Md. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Glen Savage. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Homer Duppstad officiating. Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, c/o 551 Greenbrier Lane, Buffalo Mills, Pa. 15534.
