Floyd C. “Tom” Coughenour, 89, Fairhope, died March 16, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Aug. 16, 1926 in Glen Savage, son of Leroy and Mae (Egolf) Coughenour. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Violet Bingman; brothers: Winmer, Paul, and Donald; and sisters Evelyn Poland and Janet Coughenour. Survived by children: Gregory and girlfriend Theresa Miller, Fairhope; and Vernice, married to Donald Castro, Berlin; grandchildren: Gregory Jr., Valerie (Aaron) Phillips, and Victoria (Derrike) Black; great grandchildren: Courtney and Alexandria Coughenour, and Carson and Colton Phillips; brother Robert (Roberta) Coughenour; and sisters-in-law Lillian and Claudine Coughenour, all of Berlin. He attended the one room school in Glen Savage. He was a WW II Army veteran and was a retired truck driver for Penn DOT. He attended Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and walking his dog in the mornings. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Homer Duppstadt officiating. Interment Mt.
