He was born April 22, 1927, in Jermyn. He was an oil field pumper and operator 35 years, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mankins.

He is survived by his wife, Bell; a daughter. Debbie Campbell of Electra: four sisters. Mattie Snyder of Holliday. Opal Lack and Dimple Stults. both of Weatherford, and Sue Terry of Olney; two brothers, E.J. of Megargel and J.F. of Electra; and a grandson.
