Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Revell, Sr., longtime Young County residents celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1956 with an open house at ther home, 1/2 mile northeast of Olney.
Mr. and Mrs. Revell were married 9 December 1906 at Potosi, Texas by Rev. Ben Hancock. Until retiring a few years ago, Revell was a farmer for 50 years in the Loving and Olney areas. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a retired farmer.
The Revells have eight children - Mrs. B.E. Terry and E.J. Revell of Olney; Ray Revell of Rankin, Mrs. Fred Suits and Mrs. O.E. Clark of Weatherford, Mrs. A.L. Snider, J.F. Revell, Jr., and W.K. Revell of Electra; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters.
