MRS. LILLIAN GULICK
Mrs. Lillian Gulick, .. Offnere street passed away Friday .. in Mercy hospital. Mrs. Gulick's death was caused by complications following an operation, which she underwent (?).
Mrs. Gulick was born April 29, 1886, in Lewis county, a daughter of Albert and Louise Applegate. She was married in 1904 to Frank Gulick of Portsmouth. Her entire married life was spent in Portsmouth. Mr. Gulick, who survives, was in the plumbing business but since his retirement his son, Edward, has taken charge of the shop.
Mrs. Gulick was a member of Second Presbyterian church, the Eastern Star and Manila Rebex..lodge. Her parents, one brother and one daughter preceded her in death.
Beside her husband, Mrs Gulick is survived by three children, Mrs. Grace McFarland of Los Angeles, Mrs. Dorothy Papillon, 1607 12th street, and Edward Gulick of Buena Vista pike. She leave one sister, Mrs. Mae Sparks of Portsmouth, and four brothers, Obie F Applegate of Portsmouth, Charles Applegate of .., Arthur Applegate of .., Tenn., and Horace Applegate of Tollesboro. She also is survived by three grandchildren, .. McFarland, Jacquelin Sue Gulick and Edward Gulick II.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev Ogden in charge. Burial will be in Greenlawn under the direction of Richards. The body will be at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Chester H. Papillon, ... Mrs. McFarland plans to leave Los Angeles today by plane and will arrive in Portsmouth Sunday.
