Mrs. J.V. Tooke, following a short illness, died in Monroe Sunday. She was visiting her grandchildren when she was stricken with appendicitis. Mrs. Tooke was a member of the Methodist church for many years. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery by her pastor, Rev. A.C. Lawton, Monday afternoon. The deceased is survived by two sons, R.G. Tooke of Mt. Lebanon and L.M. Tooke from Shreveport, and several grandchildren. Sincere sympathy is extended the bereaved.
