Bailey Hope Barco, aged 39, assistant postmaster at Virginia Beach since 1928, died suddenly yesterday morning at his residence, 311 Twenty-sixth Street, Virginia Beach. He was the son of Albert Lee and Mrs. Homie Batten Barco and a native and lifelong resident of Princess Anne County.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Erlean Washburn Barco; one daughter, Erlean Hope Barco; a son, George Bristow Barco; two sisters, Mrs. Reginald Whitehurst, of Virginian Beach and Mrs. J.C. Parham, Jr., of Norfolk and two brothers, Milton O. and Albert Lee Barco, Jr., of Virginia Beach.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, Colley and Harrington Avenues. The Rev. E.P. Miner, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. R.W. Eastman, rector of Galilee Episcopal Church. Burial will be inthe Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Oceana.
