SARGE WAS NAMED FOR WHITEY (MOM'S FIRST BORN SON) WHEN HE WAS A T/SGT., USAAF, 8th AF IN ENGLAND.
PICTURE WAS TAKEN IN 1945 BY ~ALWAYS~.
MOM WAS 48 YEARS OLD.
SARGE WAS ABOUT 18 MONTHS OLD.
THIS IS A PHOTO OF A BEAUTIFUL LADY AND MY OLD FAITHFUL FRIEND.

Whitey's mom Lillian Matilda (Engvall) Edgerton, born 23 August 1896, with three of her four sons: Standing, Bryant Clinton Edgerton born 8 June 1924; Standing, Robert Albert Edgerton born 22 August 1927; Sitting in his mom's lap is Charles Edward Edgerton born 29 November 1929. All four boys were born in Milford Hospital in Milford, Connecticut. Not shown in large photo is George Leonard Edgerton born 7 December 1932 and Bryant Clinton Edgerton, Sr., husband and father, born 14 May 1898. Photo was taken in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1931 - year before George Leonard Edgerton was born - Right insert photo is George as an adult, 1982 age 50. Bryant left Stratford High School, Conn. three months early in his senior year so that he could enlist in the Army Air Corp. He Crew-Chiefed and flew in B-24s with the 8th Air Corp from England.
HE served from 13 April, 1943 to 9 October 1945.
Buried with full military honors by the VFW Honor Guard.
