Mrs. Hollar Dies Very Suddenly - Succumbs After Illness of Only Few Hours

Mrs. Josephine Rebecca Hollar, aged 40 years, wife of Courtney Hollar, died at her home, 120 North Penn Street, at 2 o'clock Friday morning, following a few hours illness. She had been ill several months ago, but apparently was much better and attended to her work in her home and her outside duties as usual, until 6 o'clock Thursday evening, when she complained of a headache. Death was attributed to chronic Brights' disease.

Mrs. Hollar was a daughter of the late George F. Beidel and Emma Geneva Beidel, and was a native and lifelong resident of Shippensburg. She was a graduate of the Shippensburg High School, class of 1911, a member of the Methodist church, Hazel lodge, Daughters of Rebekah, and served as pianist for the order for several years. She was a young woman who had many friends in the community to whom her sudden death came as a great shock.

The survivors are her husband, one son Courtney Jr., one brother, Harold Beidel, of town; threes sisters, Mrs. Guy Hargleraod, South Prince Street; Mrs. William Glass, North Penn Street, and Mrs. Robert Doney, of Millersburg; also her aged grandfather, C.W. Beidel of Walnut Bottom.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Episcopal Church, East King Street Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. W. A. Graham, pastor of the church officiated at the service. Burial was mad in Spring Hill Cemetery.
