Guy W. "Peck" France, 80 of Kiski Twp, died Saturday (Aug. 16, 1980) at 10:30 a.m. at his home.
He was born February 12, 1900 in Vandergrift to Claude D. and Esther A. Gwinn France and lived in the Vandergrift area all his life.
He was employed as a construction electrician journeyman prior to his retirement in 1962.
He was an Army veteran of WWI and was amember of the First uNited MEthoidst Church of Vandergrift, The WWI Veteran's Post of Apollo, the American Legion POst 114 of Vandergrift, Skyview Radio Club in Allegheny Twonship, the PA Army MARS and AMerican Radio Relay League.
He was an amateur radio operator with the call letters K3QCL.
Survivors include a son, Robert C. France, of Bethel Twp., two daughters, Mrs. John (Esther Jane) Magner; and Mrs. Richard (Cora Lee) Scott of Kiski Twp., seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leota Campbell Frnce, in 1973, and three sisters, Louise Frobes in 1932, Zuretta Timberlake in 1948, and Marie Mitchell in 1950.
Services at Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, Vandergrift, Burial in Vandergrift Cemetery.
