Myra Louise Bruce Glasure was the fourth child of Thomas Benjamin Bruce who was the sixth child of James Madison Bruce and Elizabeth F. Franks. Thomas Benjamin Bruce was married three times the first being to Harriet Elizabeth Wright born 20 August 1844 - died 4 March 1898, daughter of Pryor H. Wright and Barbara Elizabeth Gulley. They had eight children, including the author, William Carson's Grandmother, Myra Louise Bruce Glasure. The children of Thomas Benjamin Bruce and Harriet Elizabeth Wright were: Charles Henley #59517617, Flora Elizabeth #52332540, Sally Jane #96085456, Myra Louise #75197241, Dora Maybelle #75191728, Robert Pryor #51570684, Hattie L. #24414149, and Clifford Candler Bruce #10329631.
