Mrs. Margaret K. LaShomb, 80, of 9128 E. First St., widow of Charles LaShomb, died Nov. 4 while visiting at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Helen Clark of Lacona.
Born in Cooperstown, she attended schools there and graduated from Oneonta Normal School. She taught in the schools at Cooperstown and for the past 50 years resided in Sandy Creek.
She and her husband had owned and operated LaShomb's Hardware Store in Sandy Creek.
She was a member of St. Francis Church, Lacona, and its Altar Rosary Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Sister Margaret Charles of Rochester, Mrs. Helen Clark of Lacona and Mrs. Betty Court of Mt. Vernon; a son, Charles of Hawaii; 15 grandchildren, and five great grand-children.
Summerville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Services were held Nov. 7 at St. Francis Church, Lacona, Rev. Thomas F. Moffitt officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Cooperstown. The Rosary was recited Sunday.
