He started at an early age to work with his father in the blacksmith shop and carried on his father's profession. On April 6, 1935 he was married to Lila Cottrill. To this union two children were born, a daughter Jacqueline and a son Joel. In July 1952 while in San Diego he suffered a severe heart attack from which he never fully recovered. Cliff's ever friendly smile and personality will be greatly missed on main street.
He was preceeded in death by his father and two sisters and two brothers. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Lila, his children Jacqueline and Joel, his mother, Mrs. Bertha Larson, his sisters Bernice of Arlington and Mrs. H.J. Platzer of Proctor, MN, and four nephews.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Arlington Cemetery.
