She is the daughter of Carl Johan Samuelson Krans and Christina Carolina Johnsdotter. She came to the US 19 Mar 1886 and settled in Hamilton Co, NE. She was married in Aurora, Hamilton Co, NE on 5 Oct 1889. In about 1895 the family moved to Des Moines Co, IA. There were 10 children: Charlie, Maude, Clarence, John, Effie, Sophie, Ruth, Etta, Pearl and Russell.
