On November 3, 1917, ehe married John Louis Cater (1882-1967), who was born August 26, 1882 in Wood County, Texas, son of John Smith Cater (1850-1943) and Martha Belle 'Mattie' Tolbert (1864-1934).
Louis and Ada had four children: Ruth A. Cater (1919-1989), Louis Eugene Cater (1924-1985), Leon John Cater (1927-1997), and unnamed daughter (1928-1928).
Ada died November 20, 1966 and was buried in Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). Louis died December 15, 1967 and was buried beside his wife.
