Funeral services for Lois Etheridge, 90, of Huntington will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend Robert Hargraves officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Salem Cemetery in Houston County.
Mrs. Etheridge was born July 12, 1914 in Houston County, Texas, to the late Albert Francis and Minnie Ola (Harrelson) Williamson and died Sunday, April 3, 2005 in a local hospital. A former resident of Woodville, she had resided in Huntington for the past seven years.
Mrs. Etheridge enjoyed hunting, fishing, her flowers, and her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Evon and Reg Sydow of Clute; grandchildren, Pamela Steel, Cindy Doolan, Larry Sydow, Douglas Sydow and Marcus Sydow; great-grandchildren, Russell Lopez, Carrie Zavala, Casey Steel, Leah Sydow, Bronson Sydow, Pate Sydow, Colby Sydow and Marcus Sydow; great-great-grandchildren, Rylie Russell and Gabriel Zavala; brother, Don Williamson; sisters, Judy Caldwell and Jane Boney; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Douglas Etheridge, her brothers, Odell, Albert, Elro, and O'Neal Williamson, and her sister, Ilene Heft.
Pallbearers will be Larry Sydow, Doug Sydow, Mark Sydow, Doug Steel, David Doolan and Russell Lopez.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
