From the newspaper "Philadelphia Inquirer",
Philadelphia, Pa., dated March 27, 1873:
Yesterday afternoon Wilford Bender, aged
21 years, a brakeman upon the Pennsylvania
railroad, was crushed to death, at Mantua
Station, while coupling cars. The body was
removed to No. 4012 Market street, and the
coroner notified.
