Married 20 May 1860 Mercer County, Pennsylvania to Elizabeth Jane (Crompton) Silver.

Moved to Nebraska in about 1885---settled first in Orleans, (Harlan) County, Nebraska. Then moved to a farm across the road from Industry Township Cemetery in Phelps County, Nebraska in about 1889 before moving to a farm North and West of Holdrege, Nebraska.

My Maternal Grandmother Porter was the youngest of the 8 siblings.
