LaZona Mae King, 68, of Kirby, Texas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Vitas Inpatient Hospice Facility in San Antonio, Texas. She will forever be remembered as a beloved daughter, loving sister, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her mother; Amogene (Jean) Scott, daughter: Kalii Lane and her husband Harvey of Kirby, Texas, son: Troy King and his wife Misty Turner of Athens, Alabama and brother; R.D. Scott and his wife Carol of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Left behind to cherish her memory are her six grandchildren; Cody Lane, Logan Lane, Colton Lane, Starr King, Chaz Hardy and Madison Hardy. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home 701 N. 94th Street Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in The Garden Of Devotion in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
