Sande had worked as a beautician for many years before going into the data entry field for the Medical Profession. She enjoyed traveling, spending time and playing cards with family and friends. Sande also loved researching her family history back into the 1600s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Small, in 2004; her brother, Bruce Dwayde Scott, in 1980, and her father, Leon Scott, in 1990. She was survived by her mother, Jean Scott, of Tonganoxie; a son, Robert Douglas Walker, of Basehor; two daughters, Tonya Rahija of Kansas City, Kan., and Crystal Vervaecke of Overland Park; one brother, Rudy Dawson Scott, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister, LaZona Mae King, of Kirby, Tex.; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services were held at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, where the family received friends. A graveside committal was at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
