Mrs. Jessie Funk Grimes, 80 years, widow of Fred Grimes of Morris Township, died Saturday afternoon, January 28, 1956, in the home of her son, Henry F. Grimes of Sharon. She had been in failing health for the past few years and seriously ill a month. Mrs. Grimes was a daughter of Tilton and Mary Jordan Funk, and was born December 5, 1876, in Morris Township, where sje had spent most of her life. Her husband died a number of years ago. For several years she served as matron of Curry Memorial Home. Twelve years ago, Mrs. Grimes moved to Sharon to reside with her son. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Sharon. Surviving are two sons, Harry F., and Moreford T., both of Sharon; one sister, Mae, wife of John T. Throckmorton of Syacmore; two brothers, William M. Funk of Ninevah, and Harry Funk of Waynesburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Coulter Funeral Home. Interment near Sharon.
