Beloved Mother and Grandmother Edna LaRue Rhodes Tarpley , age 67, passed away Nov. 28, 2006. born August 24, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Jett and Elma LaRue Winn Rhodes. Married Billy Wayne Tarpley; later divorced. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved nature, the outdoors and gardening. Edna was involved in community service and worked with the South Salt Lake Arts Council. She served in various callings in the LDS Church and particularly enjoyed her calling as Primary President. Survived by daughters: Cindy (Don) Toomey, Debra (Tom) Eaton, and Susan Duncan; 10 grandchildren; brother, John Rhodes; sisters, Colleen Mix and Mariann Wake. Preceded in death by brother, Keith Rhodes. Funeral services will be Friday, December 1, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at the Madison Ward, 2280 South 300 East, South Salt Lake. A viewing will be Thursday, 7-9 P.M. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 10-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
