WASHINGTON – Barbara J. Kinney, 79, died Aug. 7, 2011, at home after a long illness. She was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Westfield, the daughter of Russell and Annetta Allen.
Barbara was a 1949 graduate of Presque Isle High School. After graduating she married the love of her life, Charles D. Kinney. She was a member United Methodist Church, Union, and Meenahga Grange.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles of Washington; four children: a daughter, Wanda and her husband, Gary Sainio, of Washington and three sons, Russell Kinney and his wife, Denise, of Old Orchard Beach, Michael Kinney of Tucson, Ariz., and Douglas Kinney of Washington; five grandchildren, Garth Sainio and his wife, Caitlin, Tara Sainio and her fiance, Jason Miller, Sasha Yeaton and her husband, Matthew, Brent Kinney, and Stephanie Kinney; five great-grandchildren, Heath and Craig Sainio, Kyle and Dylan Bealieu and Madison Yeaton; her sister, Pauline Kennedy; several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Charles Allen.
