Louis Cowling, 77, of Rte 1, Neenah, Died Unexpectedly Friday noon at his Home. He was born in the town of Vinland on Jan. 28, 1888, and was married in Ashland on Jan. 26, 1920, to Lillian Bresnehan, who Preceded him in death Dec. 16th 1956. Mr Cowling, a graduate of Oshkosh High School had farmed for many years. He was a member if the Allenville Grange, Winnebago County Pomona Grange and the 7th degree grange member. Surviving are 5 daughters, Mrs. Chester Becker, Rte 1 Neenah, Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell, Misses Lillian and Lucille Cowling, Oshkosh, and Mrs, Ronald Johnson , Memphis, Tenn.,: 4 sons, Joseph Cowling, Memphis, John Cowling, Miami, Fl., Harold Cowling, Appleton, and Dale Cowling Hammond, In.; and 1 brother Grover Cowling, rte 5 Oshkosh; grandchildren , nieces and Nephews. Services will be held Monday at 2 at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, with interment in Lakeview Memorial Park.. Friends may call at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home Sunday From 4-8.
