Rachel Harrison, 99, Webster City, died Nov. 11, 1994 at the Hamilton County Public Hospital, Webster City.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Webster City, with the Rev. Vernon Sorenson officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery at Stratford following the luncheon at the church.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Foster funeral home. Viewing will be 9 a.m. Monday until service time at the church.
Survivors include daughter, Irene Gordon, Webster City; Daughter-in-law Myrna Harrison, Boone; brothers, Lee and Robert Williams, Woolstock, Ralph, Maryland Heights, MO., Albert, Kansas City, MO; sisters Elsa Coyle, Brea, Calif.; Anna Orr, Eagle Grove, Gladys Graham, Webster City, five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, John Elvin Harrison; one brother, four sisters and one granddaughter.
Rachel [Williams] Harrison was born March 18, 1895 on a farm south of Webster City. She attended Country School in that area. She married John Harrison February 10, 1915 in Waterloo. They farmed in Webster Township near Homer until her husband's death in 1955. She then moved to Webster City and worked at the Hamilton County Public Hospital until retiring in the mid 1960's.
She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star Sharon Chapter No. 148, Women's Club, Golden Hour Club, and Mt. Zion Club.
