Mrs. Jacob Scott, died at her home east of Argyle Wednesday, May 23 after an illness of less than a week. Her maiden name was Maggie McCue, and she was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1851. She came to Wisconsin with her parents and was married to Jacob Scott in 1867.
Thirteen children were born to them, ten of whom are living, and all but one being present at the funeral. They are Mrs. Foster Soper of Birchwood, Wis., Mrs. Gus Arthur of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Mrs. Julius Rasmussen of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Chas. Rizner of Freeport, Ill., Mrs. Eddie Farrell, Frank, Jonas, Jake, John and James of this vicinity. She also leaves one brother, P. McCue of Argyle and one sister, Mrs. John Mullen of Daughterty, Iowa.
Father McNulty conducted the funeral services in St. Joseph's church on Saturday, and the burial took place in the old cemetery.
