Kathryn E. Tipton of Kennett Square
Kathryn E. Tipton, 83, of Kennett Square, PA, died Tuesday, July 22, 1997, at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.
She was the widow of Raymond L. Tipton, who died in 1988.
Born in Cochranville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Estella Prange.
She was a member of the West Grove Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Charles R. and Richard D. Tipton, both of Oxford, PA, and Norman R. Tipton of West Grove, PA; three daughters, Pauline J. Jones of Newark, Del., Lois E. Porter of Coatesville, PA, and Constance K. Tipton of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Lois Kissinger of Lebanon, PA; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Elmer L. Tipton; and one daughter, Charlyn Griffitts.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 1997, at the West Grove Presbyterian Church, 139 Evergreen St. in West Grove,
PA.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Interment will be in the Faggs Manor Cemetery.
