Estherville – Funeral services for Mabel S. Borlaug, 99, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 15 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Glenn S. Bohmer officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died Sunday, September 10 at the Good Samaritan Center.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 14 at the funeral home in Estherville.

She was born on January 22, 1896 in Decorah, the daughter of John and Hanna C. (Swensen) [Belle] Borlaug. She was raised in Calmar and received her education in the Calmar schools. She moved to Estherville in 1925 and was employed by the Estherville Laundry until her retirement in 1972. On July 11, 1986, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville.
