Services Friday for Noble Brim

Noble Brim 78, Mitchell, passed away
Tuesday at the Bedford Medical Center.
He was born April 30, 1897, in
Lawrence County to James and Martha
(Compton) Brim. He was united in marriage
to Gladys Rose Hickman Jan. 20, 1920, and
she preceded him in death August 18, 1970.
He Married Effie Cogsweel Lindsey , March
6, 1971 and she survives.
He was a retired farmer, a veteran of
World War I, and a member of the Mitchell
Church of Christ.
Surviving with the wife are four sons,
Norman Brim of Orleans, Ralph, Noble,Jr,
and Nolan Ray Brim, all of Indianapolis;
Three daughters , Mrs Bill(Mary) Van Cleave,
Mitchell, Mrs Russell(Betty)Chelf,Whitestone,
Indiana, Mrs Carol(Linda) Hounshell, Jr of
Orleans; 17 grandchildren; two stepsons,
James Lindsey, Mitchell and Harold Lindsey,
Houston, Texas; two stepdaughters, Mrs June
Dorsett, Gallup, New Mexico, and Mrs
Margaret Payton, Mitchell; 15 step-grand
children, four step great-grandchildren;
one brother, Orval Brim, Mitchell; one
sister, Mrs Mae Blackwell, Shelbyville,
Illinois. Three sons, Johnny, Robert,and
James Brim preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday
at 2:00 pm, at the Chastain Funeral Home
with Rev Clyde Polson and Bro. Pat Gibbons
officiating . Burial will follow in the
Mitchell Cemetery.
