Ralph Brim, 86, a longtime resident of the south side of Indianapolis, died on Saturday, April 9, 2016.

Mr. Brim had worked as a milkman for East End Dairies, as a Prudential Insurance salesman, and he retired from the Ford Motor Co. where he had worked as a machine repairman for nearly 30 years.

He had been a member of Burge Terrace Baptist Church since 1970. He was also active at Starkey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Florida, where he and his wife had lived for several years during their retirement.

He was born in Mitchell, Indiana, to Noble and Gladys Brim. He married Betty Jean Baughman in 1947. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mary VanCleve of Mitchell, Indiana, and Betty Chelf (Russell) of Whitestown, Indiana; a brother, Nolan Brim (Irene) of Dunlap, Tennessee; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Brim, Norman Brim and Noble (Hazel) Brim Jr.; and a sister, Linda Hounshell.

He was buried at Mitchell Cemetery on April 13, 2016.

There will be a memorial service celebrating his life on May 11 at 11 a.m. at Burge Terrace Baptist Church.
Ewton Funeral Home in Dunlap is in charge of arrangements.
