Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Ruth Alford (Fred B.) will be tomorrow, followed by cremation. Mrs. Alford died Monday at her home after a long illness. During her 32 years in Seattle, Mrs. Alford was associated with the West Seattle Garden Club, was a president of the West Seattle High School PTA, chairman of the committee which organized the PTA backyard-playground program and a member of the Friends of the Library. Mrs. Alford was born in Crete, Nebraska. Surviving are her husband, Fred B.; a son, Harold J. Alford, assistant director of concerts and lectures at the University of Minnesota and two grandchildren.
