MONTEZUMA - David A. Brown, 76, of Montezuma died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was Army veteran of the Korean War. He was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Montezuma to Harry Wilson Brown and Mary J. Davis Brown. Survivors include his wife, Jane Adams Brown, whom he married Oct. 16, 1950, in Rockville; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Tammy Brown of Franklin; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bill Johnston of Tangier; one granddaughter, Rebecca Eggleston of Tangier; and four grandsons, Chad Brown and his wife Marsha of Mesquite, Texas, Matthew Johnston of Danville, Matthew Brown of Franklin and Aaron Eggleston of Tangier. He was preceded in death by one son, David A. Brown II, on Feb. 1, 1983. He was a graduate of Montezuma High School and a member of Montezuma Lodge 89 Free & Accepted Masons and the American Legion Post 48. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in Brown Funeral Home, with the Rev, Eric Moore officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
