Verna Rebecca Young Holt, 92 years of age, of Eubank, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on July 21st, 1919, daughter of the late John James Young and Lizzie Ashley Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Pollyann Chuch of God.
She was survived by one daughter, Patricia (and Michael) Grant; three sons, Albert Howsen, Larry (and Kathy) Holt and Randall Baugh, all of Eubank, Kentucky; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny "John" Holt; her parents, John and Lizzie Young; six sons, Jimmy Lee Holt, Johnny Holt, Frankie Blair, Michael Blair, Bobby Howsen and Danny Wayne; two brothers; and five sisters.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12th, 2011 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Linville Daulton officiating.
Burial followed in the Briary Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
