"The LaFayette Sun" - May 28, 1884:

The entire SUN force, from editor to devil, return thanks to Mr. T. W. Hightower for a treat to soda water. Mr. Hightower has just received a new fount and it is a "dalsen" beyond question. When you need anything refreshing for the inner man call on him - the ladies especially are invited to the feast.

AND.....

Mr. T. W. Hightower has placed him a sun screen on the west corner of south block. It adds much to the comfort of the corner and Tom cannot not see how he has managed to do without it so long.

"The LaFayette Sun" - June 11, 1884:

T. W. Hightower is now manufacturing a superior furniture polish. It will make your old furniture look new. Any lady can apply it. Twenty-five cents a bottle.
