She was born April 28, 1942, at Five Mile (Caohoun County), WV, a daughter of the late Pearl and Stella Wilcox Jones. She had worked at Minnie Hamilton Health Care, Grantsville, WV, as a cook. Prior to that, she was a cook at Pine View Nursing Home, Harrisville, WV, and worked at BF Goodrich, Rubber Crafters, Smithville, and Wirt Inflatable, Elizabeth, WV. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening.
Surviving are two sons, Jenny Goodnight and wife Brenda of Macfarlan, WV, and Ronnie Goodnight and wife Kristen, of Brohard, WV; two daughters, Dedera Goodnight of Macfarlan and Donna Rose and husband Terry of Brohard; siblings, Lester Jones and wife Jean, Danny Jones and wife Tammie, gracie Ayers and Hersel Jones all of big Springs, WV, Mack Jones, and Ivan Jones and wife Norma, all of Brohard; grandchildren, Stephanie Moore (Joey), Alex Goodnight (Amber), Dominic Goodnight, Kendra Goodnight (Jason), Keshia Goodnight (Bobby), Dilton Goodnight, Gavin Goodnight and Wade Goodnight; great-grandchildren, Jakob Henderson, Ally Hendreson, Kaleigh Moore, Joseph Moore; Hunter and Wyatt Goodnight, Kierra Collins, Kolten collins and Kayden Collins.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, ronzel goodnight; two sisters, Betty Abel and ada Billy; a brother, James Jones.
Services were held Tuesday, June 7th, at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with the Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Interment followed at Goodnight Cemetery.
