David Bloom for 38 years was the Register fo Deeds in Chisago County and a prominent citzien of Center City died in his sleep early Tuesday Morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs C B Dahl of Minneapolis. Mr Bloom had left Monday for the cities appartely in good health, intending to visit his children there for a few days.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 pm from the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center city with the Rev A N Nelson officiating. Pallbearers were Judge Charles G Burns, Judge J P Stolberg, County Auditor B Stromgren, Alfred Jonason, Edwin Jonason, Frank Lorens. Internment will be made at the church cemetery.
Bloom was 67 years of age.

He was born March 9, 1868 in the town of Franconia. He attended public school there and later graduated from Valparalso College, Valparalso, Indiana. He came to Rush City Minnesota in 1892 where he was a bookkeeper at the Jos Huppe Store.
In 1896 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Olson of that city. Later he conducted business at the general store in Nye,Wisconsin until 1902. After having sold out his stock and fixtures, he moved to Chisago City, Minn where he and his brothers conducted a general mercantile business until 1908 when he was elected Register of Deeds of this county. He held this office until the close of 1934.
Mr Bloom was intensely interested in magic and throughout his life was a member of the church choir and musical organizations of the community. The deceased was a charter member of the Chisago Lake Male chorus and took an active part in the work of that organization.

Mourning him are his wife, Mrs Mary Bloom of Center City, his daughters, Mrs C R Dahl (Gladys) of Mpls, Mrs Bruce Ferguson (Elvira) of Los Angeles, Mrs Maynard Collinder (Eloise) of San Francisco, Calif, Mrs Earl Porter(Alice) of Red Wing, Minn, Misses Bessie, Irene and Marian Bloom of St Paul and Center City and his sons Everette, Alton and Carl Bloom of Mpls, and three grandchildren Sheldon Porter, Charles Bloom and Joy Ferguson and his brothers Alfred, August, Joseph, Edward, his sisters Mrs Christine Rose and Mrs Emma Strand.
Mr Bloom had undergone an operation about three years ago but had been in seemingly good health after that time. His death came as a disctint shock to his many friends of this community and throughout.
