ANTHONY GERARD MATTINGLY, 58, of Bardstown, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital, Bardstown. Survivors include his wife, Judy Gribbins Mattingly; and two daughters, Stacey Hicks and Jewell Bryan. The Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Hope with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, where there is a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday.

ANTHONY GERARD MATTINGLY, 58, Bardstown, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 6, 1952, in Loretto, he owned and operated Anthony Mattingly Contracting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Linton and Elizabeth Lillian Newton Mattingly; and a brother, Francis Gerard "Flood" Mattingly. Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Judy Gribbins Mattingly; two daughters, Stacey Hicks, Bardstown, Jewell (Michael) Bryan, New Haven; six grandchildren, Logan Hicks, Bailey Hicks and Evan Hicks, Kelsey Mattingly, Emilee Bryan and Owen Bryan; 10 sisters, Ann Mattingly, Lebanon, Sarah (Howard) Hutchins and Janet (Joe) Cissell , all of Loretto, Marlene Mattingly, Rose Marie Mattingly and Patty Mattingly, all of New Hope, Norma (Jerry) O'Daniel, Mary Ann (Jackie) Riggs, all of Bardstown, Margaret (Mike) Reece, Louisville, Theresa (Mike) Skaggs, Greenville; eight brothers, Joe Mattingly, Jude Mattingly, Charlie (Sheann) Mattingly and Bill (Sabria) Mattingly, all of Bardstown, Bernie (Janie) Mattingly, Loretto, Larry (Doris) Mattingly, Bloomfield, Steve (P.J.) Mattingly and Arthur (Carlene) Mattingly, all of New Hope. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, New Hope, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ken Fortener will be the celebrant. Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with prayer service at 7 p.m. His brothers will serve as pallbearers. Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
