He was born Nov. 19, 1923 in O'Donell, Texas, and had lived in Idabel for 23 years. He was a brick layer and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Larenda Williams, in 1950.
He is survived by four sons, Billy Williams of Idabel, Joe Williams of Hope, Ark., John Williams of Holly Creek, and David Williams of Ft. Richardson, Alaska; three daughters, Sheila Lee of Holly Creek, Tina Ross of Horatio, Ark., and Karen Slaughter of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, DeWayne Williams of Vealmoor, Texas; two sisters, Mozelle Asch of DeRitter, La., and Juanita Martin of Sweethome, Texas; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Denison Cemetery in Idabel with Rev. Mike Durham officiating. Burial will be under direction of Nation Funeral Home of Idabel.
