On April 11, 1909, he was united in marriage to Miss Beulah Feltman and to this union one son, William Clark was born.

He was preceded in death by his wife who passed away on May 19, 1960, by his father and mother, three sisters, Mrs. Mary See, Mrs. Martha Arnold, and Mildred Dye, who died in infancy and one brother, Franklin.

He is survived by his son Clark, daughter-in-law, Eva and three granddaughters, Arleta, Nadine, and Nancy Lou, all of Arbela, who were the pride and joy of his life. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Toombs of Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Alta Feltman of Fort Benton, Montana; and Mrs. Reta Cull of Arbela; three brothers, Ed of Memphis; and Jess and DeLoss of Arbela; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.

He has been in failing health for several years and has been tenderly cared for by his son and family, who live nearby and also by his brother, DeLoss, who has made his home with him the past year. He bore his affliction patiently with a ready smile for everyone, and was always so happy to give and share with others. He was a devoted father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his loved ones and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church in Arbela, Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ernest Deatrick of Kirksville officiating.
