Patricia Eileen Buckingham Klein, 89, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday August 7, 2011 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Klein began her life's journey on August 12, 1921 when she was born to Clarence and Frieda Buckingham in Claremont, Illinois.
While our country was in a Depression, on April 9, 1940, she married Gerald A. Klein at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Flora. Throughout their 71 years of marriage, the couple has been blessed with four children. Mrs. Klein was a homemaker who took great joy in caring for her home and her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald; daughter Alice Swaim; son Gerald E. Klein; and daughter Barbara McGrew. Survivors also include five grandchildren; and also 15 great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Klein was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia Lee Klein, grandson Greg Armstrong, parents, and three brothers Garold, Leo, and Dick Buckingham.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church.
