He was the son of the late Clarence Buckingham, a former resident of Olney and Mrs. Freda Buckingham of Flora.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Frank-Branson Funeral Home at Flora with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, with military rites at the grave.
He is survived by his wife, Belle; two sons, Jeff, serving with the U.S. Navy, and Clifford, a student at New Baden, Ind.; his mother, Mrs. Freda Buckingham, and sister, Mrs. Gerald Klein, both of Flora; two brothers, Clifford Garold and Richard S.
