R. LaMar Roberts, 48, died Thur­sday, Oct 13 at his work in Kemmerer, Wyo, of a sudden heart at­tack. He was born Jan. 13, 1935 in Paris to David and Lottie Hymas Roberts. He graduated from Fielding High School in 1953. He married Lorene Wyler May 25, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He owned and operated a farm in Liber­ty and at the time of his death was also employed by FMC as a super­visor at the Skull Point Mine in Kemmerer, Wyo. Survivors include his wife of Liberty; a son, John LaMar Rober­ts, Craig, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. David (Cathy Elaine) Scott, Georgetown; Christie Karen Rober­ts, Pocatello, and Mrs. Steven (Becky Jean) Compton, Brigham City, Utah; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald Roberts, Smithfield, Utah; Norman Roberts, Liberty, 111., and Udell Roberts, Liberty; three sisters, Mrs. D'Orr (Veroina) Bunderson, St. Charles; Mrs. Walter (Oletha) Ward, Paris, and Mrs. David (Illa) Gerber, Montpelier. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Courtney Mane Roberts. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Liberty LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery.
