Glen E. Cobbley

Glen E. Cobbley, age 76 of Springville, Utah, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004 after an extended illness. He was born June 30, 1928 in Heber City, Utah to Valene (Bill) and Sylvia Swain Cobbley.

He graduated from Wasatch High School in 1946 and worked for Great Lake Timber Company and W.W. Clyde, from which he retired.

He married Margene Watkins February 6, 1947. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 3, 1948. They are the parents of four children. Glen was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as Elders Quorum President, counselor in the Sunday School presidency twice, and in the High Priests Quorum leadership.

Glen was very talented mechanically and enjoyed camping with his family especially at Bryce Canyon. He is survived by his wife, Margene of Springville; three sons: Boyd Glen (Tamara) of Provo; David Allen of Portland, Oregon; and Joseph William (Sheila) of Springville; one daughter, MaryAnn (Marty) McRae of St. Augustine, Florida; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Musick of Heber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ila and Coleen; and two brothers, Bill and Don.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Hobble Creek West 13th Ward Chapel at 555 South 600 East in Springville. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville or Monday at the church from

9:30 to 11 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
