Esther Anderson Hunter was born in Stockholm, Sweden. In March 1888 she and her parents and two sisters left Sweden and immigrated to America. On June 30, 1908, Esther and William "Bill" Hunter were married. Their marriage was shortlived. Esther died on Oct. 30 1909 of tuberculosis. Esther had worked in an office near a co-worker who coughed constantly. Her family suspected she caught tuberculosis from her coworker.
