Bessie Odom, 72, died Sunday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Thomas Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Odom, Statesboro; two sons, Anthony Odom, Philadelphia, Pa., and the Rev. Charlie Odom, Chesilhurst, N.Y.; two daughters, Mary Frances Lee, Oakland, Calif., and Addie Odom Jackson, Statesboro; a step-daughter, Mattie Lewis, Statesboro; a step-son, James Billy Moore, Statesboro; a brother, Jim Henry Nunnally, Tampa, Fla.; and 40 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Thomas Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Hayward Docks officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary chapel.
