She was born on October 28, 1923 to the late Earl and Bessie Hewitt Stockdale in Trimble Co. Kentucky.
Juanita loved to read her bible, she was a long standing member of Campbellsburg Methodist Church and she spent her spare time working puzzles.
She leaves to mourn her passing a granddaughter Michele Lewis of Louisville, Kentucky; a Great granddaughter Madison Lewis; a daughter in law Dianne Hawkins of Louisville Kentucky; brothers, Herbert Stockdale and his wife Barbara of Alabama, Edwin Stockdale and his wife Betty of Louisville; sisters, Julia Jackson of Madison, Indiana, Ruby Davis and her husband Ron of Petersburg, Indiana, and LaVerne Evans of Campbellsburg, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband JB Hawkins, her son Gary Hawkins and two sisters, Earlene Shields and Wanda Piles.
The funeral was at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg, Kentucky with burial in Port Royal Cemetery.
